Portuguese Drag Performers

I came away from this experience with a much deeper appreciation for drag as both performance and visual storytelling. I had never photographed a drag show before, so I was stepping into something unfamiliar, and that uncertainty made me more attentive. What surprised me most was how generous the performers were with access. Being invited backstage while they prepared made the story feel much more intimate and gave me a sense of the work, care, and transformation that happens before anyone steps on stage.
